The car you see above may not look very intimidating but most car enthusiasts will tell you not to discount a car just for that. Light weight and track experience can make a world of difference and that's exactly the case in the video (below) we found posted on Jalopnik today.
One of the photos we've encountered today with the press release from Audi's new AutoStadt pavilion included this R8 GT Spyder seen on display in Wolfsburg. We've only seen a few GT Spyders so far and hadn't yet seen a silver example so figured it was worth sharing.

In many ways American Audi enthusiast Roger Mecking is living the dream amongst his peers. Mecking relocated with his work to Germany last year, shipping his A4 Avant over in the process. In between bouts of high speed touring on the Autobahn and installing rare parts and trim requisitioned via German Ebay on his B5, Roger is finding his way to fantastic car enthusiast events like Techno Classica in Essen.
We've got a new set of Q5 spy photos from our spy photographer sources and these latest shots reveal new details. What you see here is what appears to be a non S-line version with very little disguise. Look closely and you can clearly see the hexagonal grille with no fake framing and what appears to also be the new lighting clusters with solid LED style housings.
It looks like the cat is out of the bag. Audi's microsite for its documentary Truth in 24 ( http://www.truth-in-24.com/ ) now shows a graphic for its sequel to the NFL Films directed documentary about the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Of course 2011 was perhaps one of the most momentous 24 Hours of Le Mans on record so doing a movie about it **seemed** a natural. "Seemed" is the operative term though because NFL Films
While in Sebring we had the pleasure of meeting Drive's motorsport guru Leo Parente (who told us he's a Fourtitude regular... thanks Leo!). We weren't surprised that the conversation would be both surrounding motorsport and tremendously interesting, and we further weren't very surprised to see Leo and the Drive team come up with some excellent
We covered the potential purchase of Ducati by Audi story when it first broke over on CAR Magazine's website. The author was Georg Kacher, a usually reliable source who also contributes to the American buff Automobile Magazine. Kacher has since published another piece over on Automobile with some further details of the situation so we're
Two photos (one above, one via the link below) surfaced this week of what is purported to be the interior of the R8 e-tron. If that is the case (and we're guessing it is), then this begs the question of how much of these changes will also be seen in the new and facelifted audi R8 when it debuts likely at the Paris Motor Show in September.
What Do We See?
The most obvious change here is a much bigger
Automobile Magazine has published a report today from European contributor Georg Kacher - a journalist with contacts on the board level at Audi who is often privy to Audi plans early in gestation. When we catch a far-out rumor from Kacher, we often read it with interest since it speaks to the thought patterns of the Audi board though doesn't always
How's that for menacing? Allan McNish at the wheel of @AudiR18_2. We believe the car looks meanest when viewed from the height of a Sebring gator, traveling at a rapid pace and with heat swirls flying off its jet wash. Had competitors seen that in their rearviews they likely got the heck out of the way, solidifying McNish's, Kristensen's and Capello's
