Here's an interesting take on the next-generation (MQB) RS 3 as rendered by Theophilus Chin. This image, based on a 3-door A3, takes elements from the recent Audi RS Q3 Concept and less recent Audi A1 quattro to make for one very mean-looking render. We love what we see here.
So How Accurate Is It?
From our experience with Audi, this isn't very accurate... no matter how cool we think
One thing we know for sure from our visits last month to the Audi Forum Ingolstadt , the RS 3 seems a favorite car within the pool of vehicles maintained by Audi AG's board members. Love for Audi's bonkers little 5-door doesn't just end there, having been sold out well ahead of production for every market where it's sold. Given the love for the RS 3 (and also
Over the last two weeks we've logged as many trips to Germany and visited the Audi Forum Ingolstadt on four separate days. Beyond the gratuitous FourSquare mayorships we've netted at Audi's world HQ , the real thing we learned was just how much to see and experience there is going on in and around Audi's grand piazza on any given day.
For model car collectors, 1:87 is a very small but highly detailed scale and Germany's Herpa is manufacturer of one of the most detailed lines of very small cars. In as much, we were excited to see the German company release their take on the Audi RS 3 Sportback.
Our friend Hans sent us this link to a (German) review of the RS 3 Sportback by Motor-Talk.de. Audi did the European launch for the RS 3 in Monte Carlo near the fabled rally course where earlier high-strung 5-cylinder Audis rocked the rallying world. Unfortunately, it looks like a rock rocked the world of this RS 3.

Over the next few days we've got some On Location galleries to share from our recent pre-Geneva trip to Audi's factory in Neckarsulm and to the Lamborghini factory in Sant Agata Bolognese. First up is our gallery from the Audi Forum Neckarsulm.
As those familiar will know, the Audi Forum at the company's Neckarsulm facility features a delivery
A reader visiting the Audi Forum Ingolstadt this week was kind enough to shoot and share these photos of an RS 3 Sportback. Parked in front of Building A50 where the board members usually park their rides, this RS 3 appears to be Misano Red with black optics and with an Audi Exclusive interior. Our source tells us the interior is two-tone magnolia
Audi AG is in the middle of their RS 3 media launch in Monte Carlo this week and as a result there's been a big release of photos from the event. Among the shots are both a Misano Red and a Suzuka Grey example shot in various locations around Monte Carlo. Many shots have been added to each section of our RS 3 gallery (Exterior, Interior and Technical). Check them out after the
Audi's uber fast cadence continues through the 2011 Geneva Motor Show this week. Ingolstadt marked the event with the auto show debuts of the RS 3 Sportback and Q5 hybrid along with the first-time showing of the Audi A3 Concept that gives an idea of what a new sedan variant of the upcoming all-new A3 might look like.
The German language online newspaper Welt.de has published a preview of the Geneva Auto Show scheduled at the end of the month and has posted their best guess at what will be unveiled there. Under Audi Welt.de suggests the RS 3 will make its first auto show debut alongside a 450-hp S7 and the Q5 hybrid.
So What Do We Think?
