German VAG blog Vau-Max.de has published a story about a first-gen (Type 8L) S3 that's been substantially modified and pulls from any number of sources within the Volkswagen Group. Perhaps it is the Bentley Continental 20-inch alloys paired with a more militaristic matte green/grey paint that gets the most attention upon first look but closer inspection of additional photos via the link below also reveal Mk1 TT orange baseball
We've just stumbled across these photos posted by 360 Forged over on 6SpeedOnline of that company's Concave Five alloy wheels fitted to a two-tone Audi TT. The shots are high-res and artfully rendered making for some nice wallpaper backgrounds should you be in need of some. We'll link the original post at the bottom but given they're basically ads for 360 Forged we're going to go ahead and post them all here.
As part of our ongoing series on special build cars by Audi Exclusive, this particular Audi TT RS popped onto our radar when it was featured on TT-Forum.co.uk. Malibu Blue is the reported name of this light blue metallic. Admittedly we've had a light blue Audi of our own, namely a Jet Blue S5 that we parted company with earlier this year but we're not sure yet about this one. Of course the TT RS looks amazing
We just caught an interesting post on twitter by CyrilZammit that grabbed our attention... mentioning new Apple concepts plus an Audi/Apple iCar. Turns out the tweet lead to an article over on the Huffington Post, a Top 10 style article that shared the some of the coolest futuristic concepts by independent designers depicting possible products that design-conscious Apple might create. Among them was a car designed by
Audi has launched a petition for American consumers to gauge reaction and measure demand for the 350 hp Audi TT RS. We've known Audi of America is VERY serious about adding this car to its lineup and has been considering it for a while and this new social media blast to try to gain a measure for the number of hand raisers is a very good sign. Even better is their next step in producing a few video shorts via the Audi of America
Audiblog.nl is having a Java Green fest apparently, posting photos of several Audis painted in this metallic green hue. The collection includes the above R8, an A5 and a second-generation TT but be aware that the TT shot features a topless model and is NSFW.
More after the jump.
Mexico Blue seems to be a recent favorite of Audi's skunkworks quattro GmbH and their Audi Exclusive paint-it-whatever-color-you-want-it service Audi Exclusive. We've seen this vibrant blue with a tinge of green before, just last week even on an RS 6 cruising the streets of Munich. We think such a bold color belongs best on a wilder RS spec Audi and the TT RS certainly fills the bill. Care to see
While in Germany last week we picked up a stack of new Audi model catalogs including one for the TT that's just gone through a product improvement. Perusing the pages of the book since we've returned we think we've stumbled across something that's not yet been seen or shared. We've double-checked the Audi Germany configurator and not found reference
The IEDEI blog that came onto our radar a few months back when it broke the story of a Canadian MTM distributor looking to import new RS 6s stateside has run another cool story... well... photo. No background is provided but the blog's 'foto of the day' (above) appears to be a shot from Audi or Abt Sportsline. The car is a Mk1 TT coupe in aerodynamic development for the DTM series. The TT-R was only raced during the 2003
Our buddies over at GermanCarBlog have translated and summarized the latest Audi intel to be published by German car magazine Auto Motor und Sport. A M und S is usually pretty accurate so we read it with interest. Here's a quick rundown.
- Arrives (Europe at least) in 2014
- Coupe and Roadster
- Positioned BELOW TT
- Engines Include 1.4 TFSI
