Audis and the like involved in racing.

  1. ACO Announces 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans and ILMC Participant List. Kolles Audis and Audi-Powered Spykers Absent.

The ACO has announced its participant lists for the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup this morning, lists that included a few things we'd expected and confirming the fate of the privateer Kolles Audi squad... at least for 2011.

To race at Le Mans and in the ILMC you need to be invited. In as much, Audi Sport ...
  2. Nissan Joins ILMC and LMS. P2 Means No Direct Audi Competition but New Factory Good for Sport

John Hindhaugh and the chaps at Radio Le Mans mentioned Nissan more times than one can count last year during their coverage of the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans. At the time Nissan was a sponsor, but it seemed certain they knew something was afoot. Could it have been a Z or GTR in GT2? Apparently not. This morning Nissan announced it'd join the ILMC and LMS for the 2010 season... at least as engine supplier... with Signature Racing ...
  3. New Photos Added form Audi R18 Test at Sebring

We've gotten our hands on even more photos from the Audi Sport test session held down at Sebring last week . Among the mix you can see even more angles of the evil-looking new Audi R18 racer as well as shots of regular faces you'd expect to see when Audi Sport comes to town including Tom Kristensen, Timo Bernhard, Dindo Capello and Mike Rockenfeller. We've posted all of the new shots below or check out the entire collection ...
  4. Audi R18 and R15 plus Hit Kick Asphault in Sebring Test

Rumors have been floating around that Audi Sport was headed for Florida for some early testing ahead of the ILMC season opener at Sebring. Now, thanks to Floridian photographer James Boone, we can pull this story out of the rumor category. Audi Sport was on hand today at Sebring along with a few other teams doing their first (semi) public shakedowns of both last year's R15 plus and two Audi R18s marked #1 and #2.

  5. Ullrich Comments, News is Made. Audi and F1 Rumors Continue.

Funny thing about Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich. The illustrious chief of Audi Sport may not have the household name star power of some of his drivers but to those in the know his word carries even more importance. The rule of Ullrich speaking and many, many listening is somewhat E.F. Huttonesque and certainly one to cause headlines. And... Ullrich's not always the most chatty either. Imagine how things would be if the man had ...
  6. Video: Truth in 24... 2010 Edition

Audi TV has posted this 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans recap on the Audi of America YouTube channel. Beautifully shot, this might be the closest you'll get to a Truth in 24 take on 2010... which we really wish they'd made having knocked out a 1-2-3 win and an upset at that over the much favored Peugeot team. This isn't done in the trademark NFL Films style but it was ...
  7. Video: Kristensen and McNish at AutoSport International + Footage from Audi R18 Unveiling

  8. Audi TV: 2010 DTM Season HIghlights

Audi TV on YouTube has published a beautifully shot five minute video of highlights from the 2010 season. As Audi dominance goes, 2010 wasn't exactly one for the books in the DTM but that hasn't stopped the video production team at Audi AG from making one seriously captivating video short. Watch it below.

  9. Rendered Speculation: 2011 Audi R18 Race Livery Found on Facebook

Audi may have pulled the wraps off of its 2011 Audi R18 racer weeks ago but we've only seen it thus far in exposed black carbon. Audi Sport typically doesn't reveal its new race liveries until the earliest race weekends, especially for a new car so we know that the black car we have all seen will eventually be painted and likely in the usual mix of silver, red, black, ...
  10. Video: Allan McNish Shifts Gears. Trades Audi R18 for Big Rig.

So what does Allan McNish do on the off-season? In addition to testing Audi's new R18 racecar Nishy seems to be practicing for a moonlighting job driving Audi's race transports. Allan posted a new video on his blog where he test drives the new Scania R730.
