  1. Choice Gear: Build Your Own Audi Ur quattro with Printer & Cardboard

We've stumbled across a little classic Audi love over on Tinypic.com in the form of an Audi ur quattro template. A red original quattro such as this one has been tearing up the screens in the BBC series Ashes to Ashes and that car apparently inspired this paper cutout template.

    The theory is simple.

    1. Go to TinyPic and download the highest resolution version of the car.
    2. Print with color printer ...
  2. Find of the Day: Museum Quality 7,000 Mile 1983 Audi Coupe GT from NJ listed on Ebay

Let's face it, unless they're an ur quattro, pristine Audis from the B2 generation have simply disappeared. Short of the ur with its then exotic pricing north of the Porsche 911, the squarish B2s were bought and driven... well, not all of them. We've just found perhaps the nicest example of an early small bumper Coupe GT we've ever seen.

This 1983 GT is located in Wall, NJ and features a hair over 7,000 miles on the ...
  3. Choice Gear: 'Audi quattro, the Rally History' Reviewed by Rally Sport Magazine

Rally Sport Magazine has published a quick review of a new Audi rallying history book titled 'Audi quattro, the Rally History'. We featured the book in our 2009 Audi Enthusiast's Gift Guide and can't say enough good about it. John Davenport's cataloguing of Audi Sport history is made perfect accompanied by a forward from legendary ...
  4. Video: Audi TV Releases 30 Years of quattro Perspective Via YouTube

The latest video from AudiTV on YouTube is an informative 10 minute piece on the 30 Years of quattro. You might expect this piece to be filled with vintage rally footage and interviews and in that respect it won't disappoint. Christian Geistdorfer, co-driver for Walter Rohrl during the rally era, points out that the S1 (above) was capable of 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds on ...
  5. Turbos in Motorsport 101 from Octane Magazine

When it comes to automotive history and perspective, we can think of no better source than Brit-born Octane Magazine. From the same company that supplies EVO, Octane is essentially a similar formula to the typical British classic car mag but with a decidedly more stylish spin. That folks like Nick Mason (Audi Ambassador), Jay Leno and Stirling Moss are all columnists ...
  6. Photo Gallery: Audi Tradition Supports Donau Classic with Vintage Audi quattros and DKW GT Malzoni

The Donau Classic event is a staple on the Audi Tradition calendar each summer and this year Audi chose to support the event with their recently purchased Brazilian DKW GT Malzoni and a range of vintage Audis. Audi AG boss Rupert Stadler piloted the DKW while board member Michael Dick tackled the event in an early Audi 80 rally car that predated the quattro era. Walter Rohrl also attended at the ...
  7. Find of the Day: 1989 Hurley Haywood #44 Audi 200 TRANS AM Racecar

Via Hemmings Motor News, the availability of Hurley Haywood's #44 1989 Audi 200 quattro TRANS AM car is making the rounds on blogs and news outlets today. The car is currently owned by The Auto Collections of Las Vegas. Apparently the car was purchased directly from Audi Sport and it's actually been on sale (and on display) at The Auto Collection showroom/museum at the Imperial ...
  8. Hot Audi Rally Action from Octane Magazine's Chatsworth Rally Show 2010 Report

Octane remains one of our single most favorite print magazines going and stories like the one linked below and alluded to above remind us why. Just published online, Octane editors have provided some cool photos and a quick report form the Chatsworth Rally Show that was held June 5-6 in the UK.

Biggest draw for many though was the special display of Audi

  9. Find of the Day: NSU 250cc Max Motorcycle on Ebay

For those Audi enthusiasts who are also bike buffs, this NSU motorcycle we've found on Ebay should peak your interest. This 1956 250cc Max by the defunct NSU marque owned by Audi is in surprisingly pristine and surprisingly original condition. The bike's logged a reported 29,500 miles and is surprisingly located in Owasso, OK (USA). Check it out after the jump.

  10. Find of the Day: 1957 Audi / DKW Munga Beach Buggy on Crack

Here's something you don't see every day. Take one DKW Munga, built by Auto Union during the 50s primarily for military use. Paint it yellow, fit it with mudder tires and rally lights, swap in an aircooled VW boxer four and you have one very unique beach buggy. We've just found this beast for sale in Fort Lauderdale, FL and listed on Ebay.

Bidding is only at about $3K but there is a reserve so we've emailed the owner ...
