Rumors Audi product, spied test mules and prototypes.
When it comes to rendering future Audi product, we're always most fond of future S-cars. Why? Audi's consistency in design of their S-car range makes creation of renders easy to do providing you pay attention to the cues. Last time around, in the case of the S8, we'd been tipped about when the car would bow and we'd known the then-new S design grille was grey with vertical chrome struts and the then-new wheel looked much like
We found a collection of renderings over at Audiblog.nl by Portuguese artist Nuno Silva. Effectively Silva imagineered what a production e-tron might look like by adding more production believable components such as wheels, grille and rearview mirrors to e-tron imagery.
So what do we think?
The images are purely from Silva's
We've written about the place before if not the car. Just below building A50 on the Audi Forum Ingolstadt is where certain Audi AG board members like to park. Short of seeing them actually exiting the car we're never exactly sure which car belongs to whom but there are some obvious elements of taste that we can identify. Audi AG boss Rupert Stadler likes metallic whites while development board member and long proven gearhead
When photos of a new Audi test mule go into circulation, you can be sure that many, many publications will run a story and a believed S7 prototype photographed in camo this week continues to prove that point.
So what makes everyone assume this is an S7? The main clues are a larger and lower front fascia,
We know Audi is at least working on an S1 version of its new A1 hatch if not a full-blown RS 1. Still, that hasn't stopped the photoshoposphere from imagineering such a beast and we like what we see. We found this particular shot that uses many cues from the RS 5 PR photography over at AudiBlog.nl. Read more about it after the jump.
We regularly sing the praises of Georg Kacher, contributor for mags like Automobile, UK-based CAR and more. The German automotive journalist is in like flynn with many German auto executives including those at Audi which has all combined to earn him E.F. Hutton status in these pages. Kacher's just published a piece with the cool render
AutoCar has run a piece this week on a new second-generation Audi A2. Audi executives have confirmed this model to many of the press including Fourtitude. Most of those mentions have also confirmed the likelihood of electric drive and a foregoing of an Audi Space Frame like the first generation in order to keep costs in line. This is all mentioned in the AutoCar piece so no new news here but the British
AutoCar has run a new report about the upcoming Audi A7 four door coupe due sometime later this year. The story includes two new spy photos of an A7 mule in testing and suggests a few details that we can comment on based on our own intel sources.
First is the release date, set for a Paris Auto Show reveal says AutoCar. We'd said the Moscow Auto Show earlier but we hear that's been changed.
Our friends over at GermanCarBlog sent us a link to this image earlier today, said to potentially be a leaked shot of the upcoming D4-based S-car. First and foremost, the picture is most decidedly a photoshop render and we hear it was originally posted on WorldCarFans.
Why It's a Fake
First, the styling is inconsistent with Audi Design. The wheels are lifted off of the R8
