    Rumors, Renders & Spy Photos

Rumors Audi product, spied test mules, and prototypes.

    1. Breaking: Audi RS 6 Test Mule Spied Cold Weather Testing

Just in from spy photographers in the coldest areas of Sweden are shots of one very interesting looking black A6-based Avant. With more aggressive front fascia (spotted on some earlier test mules) a wider track and add-on fender flares, there's no doubting that this is a preproduction prototype of the RS 6 Avant. Big ceramic brakes underneath A8 wheels ...
    2. Spied: Believed Third Gen Audi TT Mule Surfaces

Near as we can tell, what you see here are the first known photos of a TT test mule. The car, obviously wearing bodywork of the current car, was caught testing in Spain albeit from a distance and shot on 1900s era camera phone judging on the graininess. Still, the shots (and there are many so follow the link) capture the car from several angles.

Granted, the bodywork is pretty much current TT so some might argue ...
    3. New Audi A3 Interior Photos Released as Part of CES 2012 News

Audi will display at the Consumer Electronics Show for the second time in its history when CES 2012 opens its doors today. Assuredly there'll be plenty of interesting news from Audi, particularly in the fields of electronics and infotainment. And though cars like the Audi urban concept will be on the stand, we're guessing an interior display showing the next generation ...
    4. B8 Audi RS 4 Project Could Be Dead Says Car & Driver Insider

Car & Driver's resident German insider Jens Meiners has published his monthly report from the continent and we're concerned about one of his assertions. If Meiners' assertion is correct, the new B8 RS 4 program has been killed in the wake of Audi's decision to build a next-generation RS 6. It's assumed the RS 6 will be powered by a more potent ...
    5. Possible Design Leak: Is This The New Audi TT in Photo from Audi Design Center?

Okay, we'll admit we may be making something out of nothing here but you never know and what you see here is intriguing enough that we thought we should point it out. We've just published the news story about Wolfgang Egger taking over as Audi brand design chief and noticed Audi AG published a new portrait of the designer to go with the text. Standard practice on our staff is to look closely in the background of any photos coming ...
    6. CAR Magazine Publishes Next-Generation Audi R8 Intel Report by Georg Kacher

At Fourtitude we like to think we're well-connected to the inside line in Ingolstadt, even ahead of the curve. Then there are guys like Georg Kacher, someone we hold in the highest regard for his own nearly unmatched insight into product development at Audi. Kacher's published a new piece just this morning over at CAR and it highlights what he currently knows ...
    7. More Information on 2012 Audi LMP1 Including Hybrid Intel and Possible "R18H" Name

Earlier today Fourtitude published PR photos and a press release issued by Audi Sport about a test this week in Sebring of Audi's 2012 LMP1 conspicuously not referred to as "R18" . Since that time, many websites have begun analysis and/or speculation. Here's a quick summary, including some of our own intel on this subject summarized ...
    8. Rendered: Stanced C1 Audi Coupe S

Remember Rusty Slammington? Owner Mike Burroughs was an early adopter of in the stance scene with his chopped BMW 5 series that looked more WW2 P2 Mustang fighter than Munich family sedan. Rusty earned a life of his own on facebook though met at least a temporary demise in a garage fire. To replace Rusty, Mike picked up a clean 1971 BMW 2800 CS coupe and went for more of an elegant and tailored look. That car has been wowing ...
    9. Spied: Audi Q5-bodied Porsche Cajun Mules Testing in Northern Sweden

Given the two will share platform components, it's not been much of a surprise that Porsche continues to test prototypes of their upcoming Cajun crossover with Audi Q5 bodies. The Audi Q5 is in production and the site of a Q5 on public roads isn't exactly something special. Perhaps these mules go all but unnoticed most of the time... key terminology being "most of the time" since ...
    10. Hot or Not? Audi A1 allroad Imagineered by Theophilus Chin

Pixels on photos of the A1 Sportback have barely dried and photoshop renderer extraordinaire Theophilus Chin has already begun to take liberties with Audi's little 5-door. Taking allroad design cues and adding them cleanly to the A1 Sportback, Chin has deftly created a realistic looking A1 allroad. And though we've not heard any confirmation of such a vehicle, we're guessing it will cause some controversy amongst ...
