Rumors Audi product, spied test mules, and prototypes.
CAR Magazine has published a series of intel stories about upcoming Porsche product and since it's from correspondent Georg Kacher, we listened closely. Kacher's sources tend to be board level so they're more than simple rumor and though this series was about Porsche, the Stuttgart brand's injection into the Volkswagen Group means that much of the intel carries
The latest Audi test mule spy photographers have zeroed in is the upcoming facelift application to the A4 allroad. Consistent with other updates we've seen on previous B8 product improvement mules, namely the RS 4 Avant, these shots show allroad specific details including a wheel design we've not yet seen before.
Check out this latest test mule the mad staff at quattro GmbH have been testing at the Nurburgring. Photographed at the roundabout near the track, this blacked-out Audi A1 would seem to be a dead giveaway of the existence of an RS 1 program.
Those following the A1 story know the intel thus far. quattro was bound for the A1 lineup from the beginning in the form of the Haldex system
Okay, so the RS 5 Cabriolet isn't exactly Audi's best kept secret. We've been seeing RS 5 chinned cabriolets parked at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt parking garage before and then just last month several CGIs of Audi's upcoming musclebound droptop surfaced on the web following the company's patent filing.
So even though it's not entirely new, when a likely example
When we first laid eyes on photos of this orange Audi Exclusive A1 shot in the Audi Forum Ingolstadt lower parking garage and posted over on Audi4Ever.at, we weren't sure what to make of it. In some ways, we're still not.
On first glance, the car looks a LOT like the Samoa Orange quattro prototype we tested several months ago in Canada. That orange A1, said to be Rupert Stadler's own
On first inspection, the A1 you see in this photo may look simply like a highly optioned car with Audi Exclusive paint. Such a sighting isn't uncommon in Ingolstadt, particularly in the parking garage below the forum where Audi executives usually park their cars. Look under the surface though, as the guys over at Audi4Ever.at have and more of the car's story is explained and the most obvious clue is the car's
Audi's all-new next-generation a3 continues its testing as it marches toward its 2012 debut and Autobild Magazine has run a story including many of the photos they've published thus far of mules making their rounds. Case in point is the 3-door above seen hot weather testing in the States.
Check out more after the jump.
Audi recently filed patent photos of the upcoming RS 5 Cabriolet. Intel has been saying for a while that a drop-top version of the RS 5 was on the way and the photos reveal a car that is entirely expected... RS 5 below the belt and a roof treatment identical to that of the S5 Cabriolet.
Originally the RS 5 Coupe was set for a Detroit debut but since it dropped
Okay, outwardly this Audi Q3 might not look particularly special. Sure, it's badged and kitted as an S-line and those B7 RS 4-design wheels painted black in the centers is interesting... but were you just see a photo of this car you might not be overly interested. Take a closer look though and things change just a bit.
First, our spy photographer sources shot this particular Audi Q3 at
Also out testing this week is what appears to be the next-generation A6 allroad. The mule is so heavily camouflaged unlike the shot of the one testing in South America several weeks ago, one might have mistaken it for an A6... but my camouflage an A6 Avant when that's already been seen? The answer of course is that this is an allroad. We've compared these new
