We've just been passed these photos of that mystery Audi on location at that ski jump photo shoot. Originally rumored to be an R4 e-tron concept car we're not so sure that's true anymore... at least the e-tron part. These new detail shots posted in our forums reveal details inconsistent with an electric e-tron concept model including big open alloys, large disc brakes and alloy exhaust tips.

No Audi R8 for GTC
One very disappointing comment made by ALMS series President Scott Atherton in his State of the Series address was on 2011 plans for the GTC class. Close to GT3 specs in which the R8 LMS already competes in Europe, the GTC class will soldier on with 2010 and 2011 Carrera Cup spec Porsche 911s and be limited to a field of 10.

Nothing against the Porsches ...

In a surprise late season move, Audi has pulled the wraps off of a customer race program centered around its aluminum TT RS sports coupe. Built to VLN SP 4T specs, the car will do several more races in that series in the hands of Raeoder Motorsport who has some experience in VLN and at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring with TT and A3-based racers.

Rumors have been floating around that Audi Sport was headed for Florida for some early testing ahead of the ILMC season opener at Sebring. Now, thanks to Floridian photographer James Boone, we can pull this story out of the rumor category. Audi Sport was on hand today at Sebring along with a few other teams doing their first (semi) public shakedowns of both last year's R15 plus and two Audi R18s marked #1 and #2.

Photo render artist Theophilus Chin has published another Audi creation in the form of a next-generation S3 3-door. Based on the A3 Concept shown last month in Geneva, Chin's S3 does many things he thinks the S3 will do. Chin deftly stayed consistent with Audi design, changing the doors, grille and other details to production units.

When we last toured the quattro GmbH's R8 production line in Neckarsulm, Germany, we were told that most R8s are built in neutral shades such as white, silver, black or grey. Apparently the person who ordered this R8 V10 Spyder didn't get the memo.
