Jealous much? We certainly were after seeing a selection of photos posted over on RS6.com. A Taiwanese forum member by the name of Chuangs4 has posted shots of his garage and in about the most unassuming way that one does when one owns some of the coolest Audis known and likely the coolest garage in which to keep them this side of Audi's own Museum Mobile in Ingolstadt.
How was the plug unassuming?
The Donau Classic event is a staple on the Audi Tradition calendar each summer and this year Audi chose to support the event with their recently purchased Brazilian DKW GT Malzoni and a range of vintage Audis. Audi AG boss Rupert Stadler piloted the DKW while board member Michael Dick tackled the event in an early Audi 80 rally car that predated the quattro era. Walter Rohrl also attended at the
You have to love Dubai. A land where the super wealthy make the super wealthy look poor is a natural place for automotive oddities such as this pink S8 to feel at home. We've featured pink Audis in this space before but this one takes the cake. First, this is clearly the most expensive pink ringer we've yet to see and second, god love 'em, it appears to have a custom pink leather interior.
So what would pink on pink
Surfing the Audi.de corporate website we've come across one very cool download. It seems Audi AG has recently added the consumer catalog for the awesome new R8 GT. Unfortunately the catalog is only in German but there's great detail in there including matte carbonfiber blades and accents as standard and four standard colors of Suzuka Grey, Somoa Orange, Ice Silver and Phantom Black. Learn more after the link and
Perhaps it's not a surprise that the highest install rates for special Audi Exclusive tailoring are on the Audi's R8. One of the latest we've spotted is this Velvet Purple example photographed by the folks over on the IAmAudi website. Even cooler, the car isn't just painted a special color - the owner opting for a cool-looking black and magnolia interior as well.
Octane remains one of our single most favorite print magazines going and stories like the one linked below and alluded to above remind us why. Just published online, Octane editors have provided some cool photos and a quick report form the Chatsworth Rally Show that was held June 5-6 in the UK.
Biggest draw for many though was the special display of Audi
When we posted a link to Allan McNish's video blog from Spa several weeks ago we were impressed by the behind the scenes view the Scot gave us even if it was out of focus, and even more impressed by how many of our readers thoroughly enjoyed the bit. So, when we ran into Allan at Le Mans we asked if he'd be continuing the video journal at
We can't say it'd be our first choice when ordering an R8 but Java Green is definitely a cool color. We've just found photos of this car over on AudiBlog.nl. Check out more shots after the jump.
Audi TV has published several videos about the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans. Several are in German, but they're still worth a watch even if you don't speak it. Watch them below.
We've uploaded a few videos to our YouTube channel depicting some nighttime pit stops we filmed this evening and that Audi enthusiasts should find interesting. They videos include stops by Audi Sport, Team Kolles and JLOC Lamborghini.
