    1. EVO Magazine Drives "Red Sonja", Le Mans-Winning Audi R18 TDI

When it comes to driving cool Audis, I can't complain. As editor of Fourtitude I've had the chance to sample cars like the R8 GT , the R8 V12 TDI Le Mans Concept , the Audi quattro Concept and even an early A5 drivetrain mule of the latter dubbed "The Beast" . It's rare that I'm green with envy, but that's exactly the case with pre-eminent driving connoisseur buff book EVO Magazine out of the UK... for the THIRD time. ...
    2. On Location: 4 Days at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt

Over the last two weeks we've logged as many trips to Germany and visited the Audi Forum Ingolstadt on four separate days. Beyond the gratuitous FourSquare mayorships we've netted at Audi's world HQ , the real thing we learned was just how much to see and experience there is going on in and around Audi's grand piazza on any given day.

      Admittedly, ...
    3. 2012 Le Mans Technical Regulations Announced Including Restrictions for Diesels plus Baretzky's Take

The ACO has announced technical regulations for the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans and the big news revolves around performance leveling for diesels, specifically 6% less flow on restrictors for diesels.

While at Le Mans, we spoke to Audi Sport engine czar Ullrich Baretzky about such a development and the German had an interesting take. We'll paraphrase that below, but first here are the 2012 regulations.

    4. Video: AUdi Sport Le Mans-Winning Engineer Leena Gade on Fast Lane Daily

On the morning ahead of last weekend's running of Petit Le Mans, Fast Lane Daily's JF Musial had a chance to sit down with Audi Sport engineer Leena Gade. Gade herself has enjoyed a fair degree of notoriety since her winning the 24 Hours in June as the first female lead engineer to do so. Since then she has boasted an appearance at Goodwood, ...
    5. Frankfurt 2011 Photo Gallery Grows: Audi, Lamborghini and More

We've just added the second round of photos to our Frankfurt show gallery. Folders that have grown include the Audi Stand with shots of the Audi Exclusive A8 and the #2 Le Mans winning Audi R18 TDI known as 'Red Sonja'. We're not sure if the latter is the real car or not because Audi tends to keep the real ones dirty and in the same condition a car wins the race. This one looks a ...
    6. Utopian Driving Sim C.A.R.S. Project Spawns Audi R18 TDI

In the land of car geeks, even those not obsessed with video gaming consoles and the like have probably sampled driving sim super games such as Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo. What you may not know though is that there's a whole online driving sim world that takes the vehicle and racing accessibility of these games and amps them by a power of ten on the geek scale if not always on the realism scale. While some of these games ...
    7. Audi Sport Engineer Howden Haynes Joins Twitter

Audi race fans take note, Howden Haynes (a.k.a. "H") has set up a Twitter account, joining the ranks of driver @AllanMcNish and an official team account at @Audi__Sport. The Audi Sport R18 squads haven't yet raced since Howden set up his account but we're curious what sort of background insight the engineer star of "Truth ...
    8. Audi Sport's Le Mans Winning Engineer Leena Gade Catches up with MINI Rally Engineer Sister at Goodwood

Having just won Le Mans, we were surprised no shots of Audi R18 chief engineer Leena Gade had filtered through from Imola. Then, we caught this story from the Telegraph and all was clear. Seems Leena attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend and managed to catch up with sister Teena whom she'd mentioned in our Le Mans video interview. Teena's the lead engineer on Kris Meeke's MINI WRC car, and the two managed a ...
    9. ILMC 2011: Imola Yellow for Audi R18 #2. First Photos from Imola Race Weekend

We've just uploaded our first photos from this weekend's ILMC round at Imola. As expected, Audi R18 #1 now wears a silver/red livery just like the #2 race-winning R18 TDI. #2 switches to the yellow-accented setup of the Le Mans #3 and not much unlike Audi's Imola Yellow paint hue.

Check out more shots after the jump.

      Photo Gallery ...
    10. Watch Imola Live online Via Audi AG Plus New Silver Livery for R18 #1

The harder core of the motorsport fans on this site will recall with chagrin the distribution of the video feed from the 12 Hours of Sebring... or the lack thereof. Seems the folks at Audi are among that group because they've been quick to stream races ever since. Beginning with Le Mans and experienced just last week with the Nurburgring 24 Hours, those with a quick-enough connection have been able to watch the action via an Audi ...
