Speaking of the Audi R8 GT, we've come across another video short produced by Audi highlighting its ultra cool new supercar. This particular spot hails out of the German side of the Audi TV YouTube channel and catalogs the GT coupe's visit to Istanbul. No, there's no English dub like the recent Spyder piece we posted but that's unnecessary. The soundtrack is entirely that
Audi TV has produced a piece detailing the open-air ultra performance R8 GT Spyder in a short video placed on YouTube this week. Watch below.
Remember that polished aluminum Audi R8 spied on the MTM stand at Geneva Auto Show last spring? In case you don't, here's a quick rundown. The Ingolstadt-based Audi tuner performed perhaps the ultimate Audi engine transplant by dropping the biturbo V10 FSI of the RS 6 into an R8 chassis. The modifications certainly didn't stop there, with aero upgrades,
Our buddy Brian McCauley, an Audi brand specialist at Audi North Scottsdale in Arizona, dropped us a note about an Audi R8 GT that's sitting in his showroom. Seems Audi North Scottsdale had an R8 GT allotment that's not spoken for. Even better, the car was ordered through Audi Exclusive in a popular R8 color, but one that wasn't a factory option on the GT.
With Audi R8 GT deliveries now well underway, shots of the cars in the wild are now beginning to surface. The car seems a natural for an Audi Exclusive order where an owner chooses to go beyond the streamlined color options and choose something a bit different. Case in point is a classic 70s color painted on Audis of the period but known more for its placement on that era's Porsches as well as the last generation 911 GT3 RS. 'Signal
After publishing our image of what looked to be a facelift R8 nose found in the Audi Encounter Technology Magazine (p.93 if you download it) , eagle eyed reader and forum member "R5T" posted an update and a clue as to how to interpret the photo. As it turns out, this appears to be a design buck made at some point to further the Matrix Beam Light Concept by designer Christoph Haussinger from the Technische Universitat
Today we've stumbled across this photo released by Audi in some seemingly unrelated materials... perhaps inadvertently, but then again Audi never does things inadvertently. Pardon the pixelation, but we blew it up and pulled some shadows out of that grille to get a better view.
Meant to show off Audi's LED design prowess, we're 99% certain the design buck shown in the shot also reveals next year's planned
For this last video in Audi USA's 'R8 GT Week', Audi Sport legend Emanuele Pirro returns one last time to talk about the R8 GT's drop in weight over its more common R8 siblings. Between useful trivia from Emanuele, viewers are greeted with shots of the car roaring around Infineon. Watch below.
Emanuele Pirro returns again for the third of four Audi R8 GT videos. This time around, the topic is compromises... or rather the lack thereof. Audi engineers made like congress on the debt ceiling, not compromising in an effort to bring numbers down. Watch it below.
Digging around photo archives from Audi AG that we have access to, we've uncovered two more shots of the Audi R8 GT. We've prepped both as wallpapers in high-resolution. Download them below.
