That it's now even more confirmed isn't much of a surprise given many of the major car magazines were able to test drive a prototype of the upcoming Q3 2.5 TFSI at the Q3 launch in Europe earlier this year. Still, proof is always nice and that's been reported by ETKA via audiblogpl.blogspot.com.
The R8 is due for a little brother says AutoExpress. Audi board member Michael Dick once told us he liked the idea and AutoExpress suggests this "R4" will be based closely on the e-tron Spyder and feature the 2.5 TFSI pumping close to 400 hp with all-wheel drive and eventually a hybrid version pushing electric power via the front wheels.

Okay, outwardly this Audi Q3 might not look particularly special. Sure, it's badged and kitted as an S-line and those B7 RS 4-design wheels painted black in the centers is interesting... but were you just see a photo of this car you might not be overly interested. Take a closer look though and things change just a bit.
First, our spy photographer sources shot this particular Audi Q3 at
Car & Driver European contributor Jens Meiners has posted his driving impression story from the Audi Q3 launch last week and we're impressed with the results. Mainstream magazines (a.k.a. buff books) like C&D are usually great for driving impressions and putting the car in the context of the industry, but geek knowledge such as chassis component sharing, chassis designations, engine codes, etc. is usually
For those keeping track, the presence of quattro GmBh boss Stefan Reil at the Zurich launch of the Audi Q3 last week was a bit of a puzzler. The German executive was quoted in a story about the production determination of the quattro Concept for an article on Edmunds Inside Line, but also very interesting is why Audi's high performance boss would be at the launch of a 4-cylinder crossover.
At the same time European journalists are getting their first sample of the all-new Q3 in Switzerland and full production is beginning in Martorell, Spain, news is slipping out that the marque from Ingolstadt could be planning a potent RS version of the small crossover.
Power for the engine would come from the same 2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder found
If you've been following along with news about the 503 bhp Audi A1 clubsport quattro , then you likely already know that you can test drive the car in Need for Speed World . That tie in also allowed for this fantastic 'making of' video from the folks at Need for Speed. Check it out below (and thanks Andy Blackmore of SpotterGuides.com for the tip!)
Last week we published a story about a lightweight 2.5T-powered A5 coupe that was a drivetrain mule for the Audi quattro Concept. Dubbed "The Beast" by its quattro GmbH creators, we'd had a chance to drive the car and report back on the experience in a 2-part series.
Though we devoted plenty of ink (err... pixels) to "The Beast", that car
One of the most surprising things about the Audi quattro Concept for those of us at Fourtitude is just how many readers emailed us with conspiracy theories about the car's engine placement. As no engine shots were out there following the car's debut in Paris and subsequent showing in LA, some thought Audi may have pulled a fast one "saying it was longitudinal
