One of our favorite elements of a European industry motor show is the on-stand boutique. Europeans must love their branded swag because most car companies including Audi plan on a shop full of goods as part of their auto show stand. At every show we usually take a close look at the shop to see what new items we think might grab the attention of an Audi enthusiast.
While it won't be on most parent's must-have list of video games junior should be playing without supervision, most with any savvy around a gaming console will certainly name Rockstar Games' 'Grand Theft Auto' series as a major guilty pleasure. Take note then Audi enthusiast wary parent or guilty gamer, Rockstar has released the trailer for its new Grand Theft Auto V. Even better, it appears one of the cars in the game might just
Near as we can tell there's no association between eyewear manufacturer Shauns Shades and Audi. Nevertheless, we couldn't help but notice a similarity in effect to the changes Audi's been making lately to the shape of their trademark shield grille with its recent clipped off corners and the net effect of corner clipping of Aviator-inspired sunglass design. While we were on the ground in Geneva this week for the annual motor show we weren't overly surprised to see the Apple iPad integrated into futuristic car concepts like the back seat of the Audi A3 Concept or the front seat of the Volkswagen Bulli. Just how to integrate Apple's tablet and others like it has been much on the minds of the forward thinkers in the electronics labs at Audi and its parent the Volkswagen Group. However,
Have a thing for scale model cars? Not concerned about wearing too many pieces of Audi flare?.... Same with the Europeans. One of our favorite aspects of auto shows on the Euro side of the Atlantic are the fixation on swag. Standard issue for a car company show stand is a brand store. The theme carries over in the tertiary halls of the venue where model
Fixated on Audis of the Titanium Package variety? Looking for the perfect accent? We may have found the perfect answer. Bamford, the company we featured a while back offering custom TAG Heuer Monacos, has announced they'll now be adding their own touch to the new TAG Heuer Monaco LS. For no doubt a healthy premium, Bamford wraps the LS' body and chain wristband in a military grade PVD coating for that murdered out look. Check
If you're a diecast die-hard then we've got a few scale model Audis you may not want to miss in a number of popular scales. Most are motorsport but some are production Audis as well.
