Vintage racecars with four-ring heritage aren't terribly common. Look back prior to the modern quattro era and it gets even harder to pick up something with any sort of racing pedigree. In as much, we were surprised to find a DKW-powered formula car on Ebay and hailing from a Philadelphia suburb no less.
Granted, this car is $33,500, which will weed out tire kickers.

We knew we'd seen this DKW Munga before as soon as we spotted it on the Phoenix Craigslist. Yellow paint, jacked stance and a VW air-cooled boxer swap make the car decidedly one of a kind so there wasn't much mistaking it. We saw it (and featured it) once before in these pages HERE.

We've featured DKW Mungas here before though usually in better condition. This 60s and 70s era army Jeep was built by Auto Union subsidiary DKW for the German military for years and this one found its way back to California at some point. This one, of course, needs a lot of work but the price is right if you're looking to build a project car around one.
