For those who followed Audi's presence at Design Miami this year you may have noticed this Audi e-tron Spyder painted in red. An e-tron Spyder Concept was first shown in Paris in September. That car was silver, so either Audi has built a second one or it has repainted the concept for its Miami showing. Either way, Audi has released a new set of studio PR shots of the car. Enjoy.
An eagle-eyed Jalopnik reader caught a camera crew with the Audi quattro Concept earlier today in Malibu near the Pacific Coast Highway. Running non-concept RS 5 wheels, the car was on public roads and refuelling at a gas station, accompanied by several people and a camera crew toting Q5.
The quattro concept was on display last week during press days at the L.A. Auto Show though one
According to British buff book AutoCar, Audi is seriously considering a production version of its Paris show stopper the quattro Concept. AC's source is none other than quattro GmbH boss Stefan Reil who suggested Audi has had a team of dedicated engineers in Ingolstadt 'advancing plans that it be approved'. Should that happen, the car will be built in limited numbers
Perhaps not surprisingly, the Audi quattro Concept shown in Paris seems to have been the star of the show. With a longitudinally mounted version of the 5-cylinder turbo FSI engine from the Audi TT in a lightened and shortened A5/S5 derived chassis, the car certainly struck a cord in many who saw it there or lusted over photos online. Even more interesting then is this design model shown tucked away
We've just added a photo gallery from tonight's Volkswagen Group Night of Driving Ideas. Included in the presentation were the Audi quattro Concept and the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept. Look for more coverage from Paris this week.
Over the weekend some images surfaced that appear to be design drawings of the rumored Audi R4 e-tron Concept Car expected to debut Paris. We're not precisely sure of the source of the images posted by R5T in our Audi Lounge forum but the most credible article online including the pics seems to be that of German car magazine Autobild.
We've just been passed these photos of that mystery Audi on location at that ski jump photo shoot. Originally rumored to be an R4 e-tron concept car we're not so sure that's true anymore... at least the e-tron part. These new detail shots posted in our forums reveal details inconsistent with an electric e-tron concept model including big open alloys, large disc brakes and alloy exhaust tips.
Thanks R5T and
The website WorldCarFans is reporting that Audi plans an 'R4 e-tron Roadster' for this month's Paris Auto Show. According to the WCF story, the car may be a roadster version of the coupe (above) shown last January in Detroit.
So What Do We Think?
WCF is consistent at running a lot of news but isn't always right. In the past they've even run CGIs we've
