Photoshop render ace Theophilus Chin has posted one of his latest creations and his first based on the new Audi A7. With this group of renderings Chin explores what the A7 might have looked like had it been a proper 2-door coupe rather than the 4-door coupe sportback configuration of the actual car. Chin includes a rear shot as well with the story he posted on his blog. Check it out after the jump.
As part of its product lifecycle, the Audi A5 is due a facelift and our own sources tell us this will come in 2012 as a 2013 model. Those same sources say the car will be more than the typical freshening or P.I. (product improvement) though perhaps not quite as extensive as say a B6 to B7 A4. Either way, just how this freshened A5 will look is up for debate though we've found one intriguing render from
Though the car hasn't yet been officially shown to the public, intel about the B8-generation RS 4 has been out there for a while. Fourtitude sources tell us the car will share drivetrains with the RS 5 and that, when it does finally arrive, the RS 4 will switch back to an Avant-only offering like the B5 RS 4 and its progenitor the RS 2. Apparently sales of the RS 5 are likely cannibalistic to that of an RS 4 sedan so the
Render artist extraordinaire TheophilusChin has published a new A2 render that appears to consist primarily of Audi design components overtop the Volkswagen SpaceUp! concept car. Audi has already alluded to the fact that the car will eventually be based on the same platform as the VW concept so the choice is not a reach though it should be mentioned that not even a drawing of the upcoming A2 has been released
You might remember Theophilus Chin from previous render posts we've made. Chin posts his work on his blog (linked below) and even publishes some in major magazines. One of his latest creations is the above very mildly facelifted 2011 A3 Sportback converted to theoretical allroad spec.
So what do we think?
It's a cool idea of an interesting production variant of the A3. However, the A3
When it comes to rendering future Audi product, we're always most fond of future S-cars. Why? Audi's consistency in design of their S-car range makes creation of renders easy to do providing you pay attention to the cues. Last time around, in the case of the S8, we'd been tipped about when the car would bow and we'd known the then-new S design grille was grey with vertical chrome struts and the then-new wheel looked much like
We found a collection of renderings over at Audiblog.nl by Portuguese artist Nuno Silva. Effectively Silva imagineered what a production e-tron might look like by adding more production believable components such as wheels, grille and rearview mirrors to e-tron imagery.
So what do we think?
The images are purely from Silva's
With cars like the MINI firmly in their sites, Audi made a point of emphasizing owner customization from the outset when it began the design of its new micro-ringer A1. No surprise then when the seven custom versions of the A1 headlined Audi's presence at Worthersee this year - the one production version in the group the rally-inspired A1 competition kit.
Our friends over at GermanCarBlog sent us a link to this image earlier today, said to potentially be a leaked shot of the upcoming D4-based S-car. First and foremost, the picture is most decidedly a photoshop render and we hear it was originally posted on WorldCarFans.
Why It's a Fake
First, the styling is inconsistent with Audi Design. The wheels are lifted off of the R8
