Unfortunately, I'm starting to think there is something wrong with my 3rd gear shift fork. From what I can see, the shifter will run through all the gears without the clutch, but it does hit every position (so there's no missing linkage). I verified by removing the airbox and shfiting through the positions at the tranny then looking into the car to see that the shifter changed position.

After 1 year of driving, I'm loving the car again. But at the same time, I'm getting that itch for a new car again. The last new car I bought was a Truck. I want a new toy, and while the TT is great - some of the newer cars are really enticing. The Boxster has improved and I love the newer interiors. I could almost see myself driving a Nissan/Infiniti (2 door), and yet the long commute has me hankering for a big 2 door coupe (CLS, 650, etc..) I have a trip to Vietnam coming

Extra pairs of shoes, several laptops and equipment.. To top it off, I get reimbursed for mileage at the gov't rate: $.55/mile.

What a great opportunity to use the TT! It's

I wouldn't say the Honeymoon period was "short" - perhaps it was more, "delayed."

See, the car showed issues the minute it was delivered to me at the dealership. The lot attendant pulled the car up to the front of the dealership. I had stopped in after work to do the dealership, and the salesman followed me home to drop off the car I was driving so that I could come back to drive the TT home.

    5. My TT Blog - Post 1

I fell in love with the lines of the TT since the concept debuted while I was in college. I would sit in class and draw the shape over and over as doodles in my notebook. I was in my 2nd job out of college when the New Beetle debuted. I had a 1966 Beetle and was pretty excited about the upcoming New Beetle. I had a deposit on the MY2000 1.8T New Beetle and finally got mine in late 1999. I hadn't really thought of the TT any more, so it was just kind of "out of sight, out of mind." ...

    6. First-Gen Audi S3 Feature Car on Vau-Max.de Pulls from Many Sources

German VAG blog Vau-Max.de has published a story about a first-gen (Type 8L) S3 that's been substantially modified and pulls from any number of sources within the Volkswagen Group. Perhaps it is the Bentley Continental 20-inch alloys paired with a more militaristic matte green/grey paint that gets the most attention upon first look but closer inspection of additional photos via the link below also reveal Mk1 TT orange baseball ...

We've just stumbled across these photos posted by 360 Forged over on 6SpeedOnline of that company's Concave Five alloy wheels fitted to a two-tone Audi TT. The shots are high-res and artfully rendered making for some nice wallpaper backgrounds should you be in need of some. We'll link the original post at the bottom but given they're basically ads for 360 Forged we're going to go ahead and post them all here. ...
    8. Audi Exclusive Sighting: TT RS in Malibu Blue

As part of our ongoing series on special build cars by Audi Exclusive, this particular Audi TT RS popped onto our radar when it was featured on TT-Forum.co.uk. Malibu Blue is the reported name of this light blue metallic. Admittedly we've had a light blue Audi of our own, namely a Jet Blue S5 that we parted company with earlier this year but we're not sure yet about this one. Of course the TT RS looks amazing ...
    9. Audi / Apple iCar + Other Futuristic Concepts

We just caught an interesting post on twitter by CyrilZammit that grabbed our attention... mentioning new Apple concepts plus an Audi/Apple iCar. Turns out the tweet lead to an article over on the Huffington Post, a Top 10 style article that shared the some of the coolest futuristic concepts by independent designers depicting possible products that design-conscious Apple might create. Among them was a car designed by ...
    10. Audi TT RS Practically a Go for America Suggests Official AoA Petition + Our Own Intel with Projected Price

Audi has launched a petition for American consumers to gauge reaction and measure demand for the 350 hp Audi TT RS. We've known Audi of America is VERY serious about adding this car to its lineup and has been considering it for a while and this new social media blast to try to gain a measure for the number of hand raisers is a very good sign. Even better is their next step in producing a few video shorts via the Audi of America ...
