This past weekend the 2011 DTM series was officially kicked off with the traditional demonstration and celebration in downtown Wiesbaden. Each year the series closes off the streets of its home town and invites tens of thousands of fans to take part.

The event includes a little bit of everything, from a concert (Natasha Beddingfield played this year) to demonstration pit stops and laps up and down one of Wiesbaden's main thoroughfares where Audi and Mercedes-Benz stars are invited to hoon it up for the crowd... Mattias Ekstrom and Timo Scheider always favorites here as they seem to be burnout kings turning their new Hankook tires into Hankooked Tires (sorry, couldn't resist).

We've hit up YouTube for a collection of videos from the event including DTM burnouts, Natasha Bedingfield performances and a very crazy stunt show that with motorcycle and a car drifting around people.
