Latest Rounds of S6 Spy Photos Reveal Interior, New Wheel Design, Avant and More

We've stumbled across several new sets of Audi S6 photos (thanks Hans and Scott) revealing more production detail work of the upcoming 4.0T-powered S-car due out soon. Between the two collections and corresponding stories, we can clearly see a new wheel design, the S6-spec carbon fiber interior trim and the first Avant mule sporting quad exhausts.
First is a set found over on AutoWeek.nl. All of the cars in the set appear to be the same dark blue color as the US-spec car run by Car & Driver yesterday. In fact, some of the pics (including interior shots of the S-spec carbon fiber dash and console trim) are likely that same US-spec car. Also shown though is an IN-plated European speccar that sports a new split 5-spoke wheel we haven't seen before on a production Audi. Could this be the new S-car spec wheel?
Next up is a set of photos run by MotorAuthority. Like most S6 sedan mules we'd been seeing before today, the car looks straight up S6 S-line save for the quad exhausts. Still, for wagon fans, it's good to see Audi plans an S-spec version of the Avant.
So What Do We Think?
Only the sedan is pertinent to the USA. Audi of America sources have told us that the S6 is coming, but don't expect the Avant. The A7 has effectively displaced the Avant in the American lineup and likely the same will be true for the S6 Avant. No, it won't come... but the S7... that's a different story.
