Leaked Official Photo of New Audi A3? Sure Looks Like It!

We're getting close to the Geneva Auto Show. In case you'd seen the photo blasts of the new Audi RS 4 and the TT RS plus and hadn't done the math, it's messaging time in these weeks ahead of the main event that first week of March. It's always a game to guess which reveals will come ahead of time and which ones will be saved until that first press day (or perhaps the Volkswagen Group reveal). Still, we'd bet our money it'll be any concept that waits until press days and as such we aren't entirely surprised to see the first of what looks like official photography of the new A3.

Could it be a fake? Maybe but we suspect not. Looking over the details and knowing what stock photography usually plays the base for such renders, we're 99% sure this is legit - a single shot of a white three-door that seems to have leaked out via a Czech website.

    Is the hatch heading state side or is it just going to be the sedan that's going to be offered?

    Sedan for sure. Sportback might happen and Cabriolet is being considered. 3-door hatch is unlikely.

    I'm beginning to think you might be rihgt. The whole shot is a bit soft and the wheels are early B8 A4.

    To me it isn't about whether the photo is "real" rather than is it accurate.......compare it to the black mule spy shots while winter testing and it matches up extremely well. So yeah, if it ain't real this is (probably) what the new A3 looks like.
    Although I agree with George- it does look soft and only quasi-convincing.

    Feels almost as if it was deliberately leaked and orchestrated to provoke internet buzz and controversy.
