Render artist extraordinaire TheophilusChin has published a new A2 render that appears to consist primarily of Audi design components overtop the Volkswagen SpaceUp! concept car. Audi has already alluded to the fact that the car will eventually be based on the same platform as the VW concept so the choice is not a reach though it should be mentioned that not even a drawing of the upcoming A2 has been released by Audi so any renderings thus far are clearly the subject of speculation. A2 Background
The upcoming second-gen Audi A2 is likely to be based on the Volkswagen Group's small platform seen thus far underpinning various Volkswagen 'Up!' concept cars. Three cylinder gas or diesel versions are expected but most touted is a likely all-electric e-tron version. A concept of the car could be shown as early as this year.
