I wasn't too enthusiastic while editing this one because I only had one lens on me for these two shows and every car was parked the same exact way. (HIT HD ^^^^ )Shot on my 5dmkii with a 17-40mm which I no longer have. This footage conatins clips from Dubs on Defrost 5 and Spring Show and Go. Tried to put in a little bit of everything to make everyone happy. All in all i enjoyed all the shows and they both had pretty great turnouts.

Share it!
Expect something big for sowo guys :thumbup:

This is another The Forester is Great but so Boring post. My wife is itching to move on from the Forester. She wants a new car to make up for one or both of her two biggest problems with the car:

Lousy gas mileage (on principle)

Lack of seating (she would like to be able to bring an extra parent+kid with her on her travels)

What she'd love is a minivan that got 30+ MPG. Is that too much to ask for? And why hasn't minivan-class MPG been increasing the way it has with sedans/small cars/small SUVs?

And before you say Mazda 5, I read if you have car seats installed, the second row chairs must be positioned at the maximum rearward position - leaving the 3rd row with ~6" of leg room. So it's MPG isn't stellar, and its extra space is essentially unusable when car seats are installed in the 2nd row. There's also the highlander hybrid but the MPG isn't that stellar for such a cost premium.

The answer is the Toyota Estima hybrid, but my guess is that it's JDM only.

School officials said the Class of 2012 cut the Toyota truck in half, brought both pieces to their stomping grounds, and welded it back together as a senior prank.

I got this set of wheels from an E39 540 for cheap. Eventhough they are in bad shape cosmetic wise there are no bends or cracks or rash. These are high quality BBS two-piece wheels. Had them for months and was going to put them on the E36 but was too lazy to refinish them. Now the E36 is gone, I decided to put them on my E39. Some think these are the ugliest wheels BMW ever made.. I happen to really like them as they are quite unique and have a pretty deep lip.

Took many, many hours refinishing each wheel. The clear coat is in bad shape as well as the silver paint. I used paint stripper to remove old clear coat then sanded the rim from 400 grit to 600,800, 1000, 1500, then wet sand 2000 grit. Used blue coral as a final polish compound. The result is quite nice, not quite chrome (which I don't want) but has that polished look.

I removed each rivet (they were super tight as loctite was used originally). Sanded each one and painted and clear coated. I sanded the centers and painted 3 coats of silver (matches the car nicely). Then triple clear coated with Wurth paint (the best clear coat spray can). Again this took many hours and hard work for each wheel but finally done and I think it looks quite nice. I used to roll on staggered 19's but those wheels compromised a lot of the nice ride qualities of the E39, it was mostly for show. I want the car back to OEM and the ride is perfect now.
