So, I recently installed a complete front control arm kit (w/ ball joints and sway bar end links) on my stock sport suspension and now I'm sitting pretty high. Before the install I had a 2 finger gap all around, but now I have 4 up front and still 2 in the back. Could something be wrong, or do I need to wait until it settles in?

I noticed when I filled up my car the other day it leaked out 1/8 of the tank right away. It smelled of gas until it got under 1/4 of a tank. It leaks on the drivers side above the axle basically right onto the exhaust. It is a 1996 2.8 Quattro. Wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be because underneath the bolts are so rusted I know it will be one hell of a task of getting this tank out

Hi everyone, I've browsed vwvortex for years but never made an account. :( I'm not new to VAG cars at all. I've owned 10-15 audi's/vw's. Anyway I'm having a problem I can't seem to figure out. Bought an 01 A4 1.8t 5 speed, quattro a few months ago. The car should have an AWM engine but it has an AUG engine. So obviously previous owner had engine replaced with one from a passat. I believe he had the whole engine replaced, not just the head so the block and head should both be AUG. When I bought the car it wouldn't start unless you cranked it for 10-15 minutes. (bad crank sensor). When I got it to start and drove it home it drove fine. No drivability problems at all. When I replaced the sensor with an OEM one from the audi dealer it started up fine for a few days then would have hard times starting. I was getting a code for open J271 relay. Replaced that and now I have no problems starting. The car drives good now except when I go past 3500-3600 rpms (whether I am under or load or not), the rpms are extremely jumpy, kind of like a really bad misfire, but it is not misfiring. My original thought was a bent crank trigger wheel, but that doesn't explain why it drove ok past 3500 rpms with the bad crank sensor. The only codes I am getting are 16705 (G28 implausible signal) and 16795 (secondary air system incorrect flow), my secondary air pump is shot but that isn't relevant to the problem. So does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? As far as I know the part numbers and trigger wheels are the same for the crank sensor for an AWM, which is the one I bought, and an AUG engine. I am out of ideas. I'd really like to hear if anyone has anything before I pull the engine apart to replace the trigger wheel. Thanks
