Long story short...

I opened a new personal account with a telco company in January. This resulted in a hard inquiry, per usual. No big deal.

A couple of months later, I started a business and wanted to switch this to a business account. I told the sales agent that if this was going to result in another hard inquiry, I would not proceed with it. He assured me it would not.

Fast forward to a week ago - I pull my credit file and sure enough there's 2 hard inquires and my score has dropped a fair bit. Awesome.

I call them and ask them to fix it. I get bounced around. I get treated like scum. Nothing gets resolved.

I email the CEO. 30 minutes later, his assistant calls me and says she would take care of it.

Fast forward again to an hour ago. She calls and says they can't do anything about it. Awesome.

I had a feeling this was going to happen, so I'm over being angry about it. She asked me about compensation and what I would like them to do - credit on the account, new device, etc. Truthfully speaking, there's no way to put a dollar amount on the damage they caused and I feel silly asking for anything or agreeing to anything, but I have to accept that this is the situation and this is the only resolution.

My question is this - what should I ask for? 2 new Blackberrys? A year of free service? Like seriously - how do you put a dollar amount on something like this?

Input appreciated.
