I purchased these straight from a friend in Germany 5 or 6 years ago and I have never seen or heard of another set in the US, but quite a few top mk3s from across the pond run these.

They work perfectly for the mk3 and installation requires no modifications whatsoever to the stock headrests. I no longer own a mk3, but these were easily my favorite interior part when I was using them. They will make a perfect addition if you have other polished / chrome interior bits and they are actually really useful to hang things on as well!
