Okay, the time has come for me to part with this dang old Scirocco.

1981 S, in pretty rough shape but pretty complete. I am at work, so I don't know what the mileage is off the top of my head- somewhere around 175,000. It has been a minute since I spent any time in it.

Here is the deal with this car: I bought it in 2004 or 2005. My wife drove it as a daily for a few years, until we moved in 2006. The exhaust downpipe broke, so it sat for a while until I replaced it. After replacing it, I noticed a small fuel leak back by the pump, so I fixed it. It sat for a while, and then my buddy's van blew up, so he drove it as a daily for about six months until he got something else. This was up until last spring, when I moved again and it wouldn't start. I put a new battery in it and a new fuel pump, and it ran fine BUT when I swapped out the fuel pump I broke the line with the banjo fitting on it. So, I replaced that with one from my stash. When I replaced that, the line from the accumulator to the main send line didn't like being jostled around, so it leaks now. That is when I gave up and had it towed to the new place, where it has been sitting for almost a year.

I bought a new house, and this thing is not coming with me, but it is too good to not go to a good home.

It has some rust, but nothing terminal.
It has a crack in the windshield.
The brakes need bled, because I replaced a wheel cylinder and couldn't remember what box I put my pressure bleeder in.
The paint looks like someone took a scotchbrite pad to it.
The shift linkage needs adjusted or a bushing kit or both.
It uses oil but still gets about 40mpg.

I would like to get $500 out of it. It needs to be out of my driveway by May 31st. I would tow it if I were you. Unless you love adventure.
