How should I connect the two wires pictured below? Iam working on a 91 Passat with 95 VR6 swapped in. I don't plan to install the alarm module or any of the associated wiring. I am also unsure if I need to do anything with the smaller gauge black/red wire.

Can I just pull the wire out of the red connector on the back of the fuse panel? or Does the same start signal come out of the fuse block somewhere else and I can use the signal to trigger a relay?
