Sorry that I am just seeing this. I actually returned and got a refund on the ebay one and then got a rebuilt one from G-Pop Shop. Interestingly, the first one failed with the wastegate disk breaking off--I guess I was just having bad luck. But, the guys from G-Pop Shop were really helpful with sending me another which has had no problems. The good thing is that by this time, I got pretty good swaping out turbos, so I didn't lose money paying someone to do it.

The reason I went with a rebuild was because new K04s had become really expensive because either they weren't being built any more or Audi/VW bought up the surplus, or so I was told. I don't know how much the K04s are now, but they were close to $1200 when I was looking.

Hey i happened to stumble on one of your posts saying how you bought a k04-015 turbo from ebay that the first one was bad but i didnt see an update.

Im in the market for a new turbo and wondered if u ended up having any luck with the second one.
