hey man i got a quick question... i did a bdf swap into my wagon which was oringinally 1.8t. cars been running and driving fine with no issues, i was able to do the swap with out any hicups ... i have a lead on a low mileage complete R motor with anything that i would need from a donor car. im retaining my 02m

    questions are as follows

    1. will my TT downpipe with single cat bolt to the R head or are the exhaust ports different?
    2. from my understanding i would be able to use my 24v wiring and tune the ecu for the r motor...if not can you advise me what should be done

ive been getting mixed answers on these questions from threads so i figure id ask a vortex superstar.... thanks for the advise in advance

Hello again Mr. Paul. Thanks for your response. I ordered the TT chip for cammed VR6 and did what you recommended for the FPR. On the other hand, I read that you have removed the ISV (IAC). I am thinking to remove it but my question is: when you removed it did you continue using the Air Con? May I remove it and continue using the Air Con?

Hello Mr. Paul, I almost did all your recipe to my 1992 SLC. Completely rebuilt engine, except pistons, rods and crank, all sensors , computer, Bosch fuel pump, MAF,TPS, distributor, FPR adjustable, new. 262 Autotech ,HD springs Autotech, INA lifters, full set of Alu pulleys by Gruven parts, no cat, MK IV head gasket , lightened flywheel, 1.8 T air sensor, shock therapy plug wires by Autotech, modified lower part of intake, next: 2.5 exhaust and BKR5-N11 spark plugs. Not for racing just for traveling. I am a lubricant trader and I use the Corrado for working, here we have 95 RON. The car has AC, power steering and all its accesories. (1) Do I need a chip like the one techtonics sells? (2) The FPR has a gauge and I fixed to 4 bars connected to the hose, do I have to increase the pressure at idle? because between 1.000 and 1.500 RPM when you floor the accelerator there is no response you have to tap it and suddenly the car launches to high RPM without hesitation. Thanks in advance.
