Does anybody know the details on the 2.0 16v short block swap with 1.8 16v head. I have an 88 scirocco and want to do this infamous conversion. Getting my hands on a 2 liter from a 1990 passat. Love the way the Rocco drives and performes but I want some more torque and power. Please help with any info that you guys have. Direct bolt on? headgasket types? sensor replacement? Bearings while I am there......anything! and everything! sorry, I know its a lot to ask but an a-z list would be great. You guys rock!

I have a 88 scirocco 16v and over the years the black vinyl on the exterior of the car between the windows is deteriorating. I have used a heat gun and scraped the old dead vinyl off. I believe it is 8mil but I cant find that material anywhere. Does anybody know how to replace this exterior vinyl. I hope I explained this correctly. Its the material outside the car that says KARMANN at the bottom.
