      no mix up, I was there when he took the pics, the oil pump is a MK5 pump on an mk5 new crate engine. the dipstick handles are different too so no way we could have mix them up.

      I dont think so. mk3's use steel pans that dont tie in to the bottom part of the bell housing. there is also an OEM part to cover the gap left in there.

      the bell housing also mates to the block...

      How did it go at the end? Any improvement at all? I know that when I went from the 550cc to the 870cc injectors and promaf the car was a whole different animal. 15 psi on the 6265 ar .82 felt faster...
