It's a customers car.
Our "Stage 4" car ran 10.8's - on ET streets (not slicks), but then a customers car also ran 10.8's with stock engine, stock clutches, stock Stage 3 kit, treaded tyres etc. - no built anything, no...
Here is another for the list to be updated please:
Good work Pattrick!
We now agree with you - for the 1/4 mile manual transmission is the king, so stay tuned shortly for a manual attempt at the record (with a 6MT) :) but we want to see 130 mph...
Hope all is going well - we are running the M&H slicks : 10.0/26.0-15 on 8" widened steel caddy rims - we tried 8psi but had a tyre come off the rim and almost ended in tragedy. 12 PSI...
Thanks gent's & especially Pattrick - it's a lot harder than it looks to get it hooked up!
Bummer & here we are sweating it out in 30+ C temps (95 F) - oh well, at least our tracks are open - not the best for outright turbo power, but we try our best.
Our little GTI on Wednesday night...
Threads been a little quiet lately - time for some fresh news - surely something has been going on around the world
Winter, but where we are is tropical like Florida, so not much winter really.
Halvie - might have to! - The production stage 3 cars are getting close to the record now, stripped with race gas they are going to be awful close to 10 second cars......
grrr - cant embed youtube....
Be worried manual owners, this week we have had two of the new APR GTX Stage 3 kits go deep into the 11's - private customers cars, full weight on street tyres.
We do all the logging & dyno work, APR HQ do the calibrations for us.
Here's the tyres - half of them are up the side of the car. Who wants to help wash it?
Video of dyno is on Facebook - hope this link works:
1/4 mile times = DSG > MT.
I could teach my 10 year old to run this down the 1/4 - it if he could reach the pedals & he would be faster (because he weighs less than 30kg's dripping wet).
Wheelspin, wheelspin, wheelspin - check out what the shift light is doing on the internal shots!
If you want to win the straight line stuff - DSG will get it every time. The amount of gear changes required with the manual Golf R over 402 metres doesn't do it any favors.
With some DSG software...
Awesome time for a manual & great MPH - good work!
