Yes, I removed the ICM part since I was driving coil via an MSD and the MS was setup for direct coil drive.
Will MS drive an older in-dash tach, I thought those were driven off of coil?
I know you said you have a "better" and new coil, but have you tried another style coil? Like I said, the Bosch Blue coil I had was not nearly as good as the later style coil I switched to.
What coil and plug gap? My car wasn't boosted, but I did notice a difference when I switched from the can style coil to the later mkIII/IV style coil.
I bet if you squeeze the boot on the oil press sensor, it has oil in it. Might also be a good time to replace the rubber VC gasket, they tend to turn to stone after being on there for a long time and...
