It's been years but as I recall the stock dash speakers were very depth limited, and height limited.
I used a heat gun to tweak the vent pipe for depth and think I cheated the grill a little high...

Yeah I did just that, and the only plastic plugs would have been loose unless I put an o-ring under them, which would have still held crud and looked weird.
So, I bought some rubber grommets, 1/4" I...

Been using 303 Aerospace protectant the last few years, happy enough with it but who's to say how well it works long term.

Yeah, too late for that, and I didn't want to do anything permanent either.

Most helpful suggestion from my mates so far is .25 ACP ammo is about the right size. Don't think I'm that hard core...

That's interesting, they didn't list the stuff online so I assumed they just didn't carry them for whatever reason.
The euro guys aren't consistent either though. I'll poke harder at them all for...

      Rocker trim hole plugs?

I believe they are 6mm, anyone found a ready source for good looking plugs?
There are a zillion plastic cap/plug providers online that I'm slowly wading through.

I really don't wanna put that...

Seen some clear, seen some questionable looking South American aftermarket, any experience with the latter or anything else out there?

BAT has a really, really awesome thing going. Hope they don't get greedy/crazy. I'm impressed with how much influence they seem to have over car value
in such a short time too.

I'll check on the spacers. Voltage gauge in car frequently wrong, bad grounds can make it worse.
