Not us, we dumped the 2 door cars and got a baby hauler CUV and a 5 door hatchback. Granted the timing also worked out because we needed a larger car for the dogs, and I wanted a newer car anyway.

Maybe a new WRX would change my mind. Maybe not.

Until then I'll stick with my ZF 6 speed, Mk6 DSG, and Toyota (Aisin) 4 speed autos that all...

Not a bad idea. The running gear is pretty stout on these though, so I wouldn't say the bearings are necessary to preemptively replace. You rarely hear about axle issues on any Toyota pickup/suv.

      Full agreement on this.

I'm also curious how it would drive... I could see it being impossible to keep up with the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts if you were using the paddles.

I'm happy with my Mk6 DSG,...

That's not a very nice thing to say, as my preferred news sources are WSJ, Forbes, Bloomberg, Reuters, and the like.

Apparently we have differing opinions when it comes to personal responsibility....

Did you miss all of the posts defending the actions of wheel/tire renters, because it's apparently "not their fault that they're poor and make poor decisions"?

      This.

There is an inner and outer seal. The inner, which keeps the oil in the axle, is a 1hr DIY job per side max. The outer, which keeps dirt out of the bearing, is no harder but requires a trip...

I would argue that poor people are poor BECAUSE they make bad decisions, not that they make bad decisions due to their financial situation. Blaming the situation and not...

The spacer thing is a funny situation on the Toyota forums... These rigs tolerate small spacer lifts just fine. The go-to lift solution for the front end is longer Bilstein lift shocks or longer...
