I'd recommend 034 Motorsport silicone kit to replace all the PCV lines you have. But for a cheap temporary (meaning quite a few thousand miles) fix, a used one will do depending on its condition.
Well, not sure if 'safely', but you can assume that. ;)
It would be easier to just state it.
You didn't mention whether your MK4 parts car is a Golf or Jetta. ;)
Edit: I guess since you said you're keeping all exterior parts, it may not matter.
Is it on all the time even if the ignition is off? That would be very weird. If it's just on when you start the car, that's how it's supposed to be.

Actually, that hose is not connected to the brake booster line, but after some searching I found that it goes from the suction jet pump to the PCV valve.
So, I guess I need to find a...
No, it's not that hose. That hose is the bigger one just below that. The cracked one is coming off a Y-shaped plastic connector and connects to the PCV valve. The cracked piece sits just below the...
I have an AWD-code 1.8T engine and I plan to install the 034Motorsport breather hose kit. This one:...
Hoping you can help me with my question.
I bought your breather hose kit for my 2000 Golf 1.8T (AWD code). Today, I was looking around to make sure I can see where everything will connect once I...
I have this one in my Golf:
