as a second vehicle, i would go with the Z hands down. it's lighter, faster, and has a naturally aspirated v6. and if you're willing, you can always go the CPO route and get one for under $30k.
i'm fairly certain this is a common occurrence if you leave your car parked outside in cold weather. as others have mentioned, the snow from your boots melts onto the carpet or rubber mat. Difference...
This is absolutely not true. California law states that only AWD vehicles with snow tires are allowed to forego chains in mountainous areas. This is pretty strictly enforced from my own experience.
it's the angle. it's not flat for either vehicle.
anyone else notice that the only people posting in this thread are the fiscally responsible ones? :P
interesting how the torque numbers for a stage 1 mk7 gti and a stage 1 mk7 golf r are nearly identical, but the hp numbers are not.
Unless his questions were rhetorical in nature, there wasn't an argument being made.
yes, assuming the car is equipped with dsg + launch control.
more like yuppies, given that the R costs almost $40k and because VW expects their target demographic to have a significant amount of disposable income.
haha. sounds like "Engrish." i think i will start using this as my new job description.
Q: What do you do?
A: I am an urban influential seeking thrills.
hmm...hope my extra set of 17" Denver wheels will clear the Golf R brakes, then.
the part that surprised me the most was the info on buyer demographics. 34% of golf r buyers are non-white? and median income of golf r buyers is well into the six-figures range? color me surprised...
might be region specific? certainly wouldn't make sense to have summer tires as the only option in the plains and upper midwest.
Check the mk7 golf r subforum. Mark Giles has confirmed that the us-spec mk7 golf r will not come with a sunroof, standard or as an option.
no sunroof makes me sad. i use mine on a daily basis when the weather is nice. plus the panoramic sunroof on the mk7 gti gives it a cool two-tone look. oh well. i can see why they made the decision...
when the mk6 golf r's weren't selling, one could nab the base model for at least $1000 under invoice with the costco auto program. so that's also an option if you're willing to wait and see how the...
which dealership is this? luther? and would it match the look of the panoramic sunroof of the gti?
i'm hoping i'm wrong, but i'm thinking the sunroof won't be offered at all. it's not mentioned anywhere in the press statement or shown anywhere on the golf r page at vw.com. i'm thinking that vwoa...
Based on the new press statement and photos, it does not appear that the golf r will be made available with a sunroof. I'm hoping that I'm wrong, but this seems the most likely scenario given that...
