Ok, now *that* is wacky!
Looks like I forgot to finish my reply last night, but I was going to say the
same thing that trdawson demonstrated much more clearly with the graph.
It looks like it is tuned way too lean in the...
It's possible he had a lap belt only, and slid out from under it.
His feet were out the window one full roll before it stopped. Amazing the car
didn't crush em.
IAT isn't in the logs, so not sure the relevance, but no I wouldn't expect any
strong correlation with coolant temp for short runs like this, other than perhaps how
quickly it recovers after hard...
Think you misunderstood my intent. I'm saying, in my opinion, the logs indicate a problem.
All that being true, we are only talking 0.44 bar of boost and the tuning should
be handling things on the street with a a fair margin. There are plenty of places where 93 octane is not available...
There's nothing wrong with your logs. As I said earlier, 3-5 degrees of pull or less is generally considered normal.
Timing pull is normally a result of knock (detonation), which can occur if...
That looks like a lot of timing pull, and it's not always when it's particularly hot.
Look down at the pulls at line 2869 and 2905 with temps in the low/mid 80's.
This is an engine that rarely...
Any movement on this? There are an awful lot of broken links and people
are still complaining to me, despite my having no way to fix it directly.
As I said above, I can help fix this with some...
The block 31 values are as a ratio relative to stoic (14.7:1) so
1.0 = 14.7:1
1.1 = 16.17:1
0.9 = 13.23:1
0.748 = 11.0:1
and so forth. Really easy to convert in a spreadsheet.
One of the...
DTM kit uses an electronic boost controller (unlike most of their previous FT kits),
so it should make exactly however much boost it's set to.
Keep in mind that the Autospeed exhaust that works so well with a turbo,
was previously considered almost unbearably loud as a N/A exhaust. The only
sound clip of the 42DD exhaust is N/A and it...
I never cared about the power, just the sound.
Here's what the 3" Autospeed exhaust sounds like on the FT360.
A little bit quieter than stock, with very similar character. ...
When I did my FT360, I missed the exhaust note so badly after a few months, I was actually ready to take it off.
I had someone weld a pipe on running behind the flapper to the left tip (bypassing...
No, all you're seeing is the result of instant access to every single "wacky traffic accident" in the world.
If you look at any average length of guard rail you'll see dozens, sometimes hundreds...
That is unreal.
I'm pretty handy with perl and regular expressions and I have a lot invested in the R32 FAQ thread.
I have a proposal.
If someone can edit each post in that thread in turn (or multi-quote every...
Same problem here.
Tremendous number of useful threads and posts linked from that thread, all...
You mentioned this before. Rough intermittent idle combined with temporary "loss of vacuum", is just the SAI pump cycling on for a few seconds.
I've been helping teach one of my nieces how to drive, and I keep telling her jokingly,
she needs to learn how to steer with her knees. She remains skeptical.
"You may need to flip off...
