      Ours include voltage control boxes for each light, so no coding is necessary!

      Likely a resistor or two and they generate a lot of heat in a rather enclosed area.

      Note to OP: I've learned to get off the brake sooner and allow the clutches to fully disengage. Once they're fully disengaged, there's less sluggishness.
