I'm sure whichever of the 2 OP picks will serve him just fine,
but i did just look up tirerack test results, and they rated GAA's higher in everything over Winterforce? it was close but GAA's...
you've had both? cool thanks for the info , good to know for future (but who knows what tires will be available in few seasons when I'm due for new set)
right decision :thumbup::thumbup:
as others already pointed out, this hits the nail on the head.
also when i got my TDI, i got $1300 Tax credit back at the end of the year. so after equally equipping regular GOLF price diff was...
Changing wheels is not a problem if both Winter and AllSeasons are mounted on their own wheels. ( i do it sometimes as well with a jack, but Discount Tire does it for free, so why not)
i'd also suggest OP looks at General Arctic Altimax few $ cheaper even.
i have 2 sets of them on both my Golf and g/f's Rabbit, and they perform amazing for the $$ , highly recommend.
not if your current tires are summer or all-season.
you have 2 main options:
1: use same wheels your current A/S tires are on now, and get a set of winter Tires only, BUT.. you'll have to pay...
relevant to my interests:
my current '10 GOLF has 113K miles and I'm still on original brakes
at last 110K service, they did mention that rear brake pads are at the end of its life (few mm left)...
agreed, so we're all on the same page.
i keep up with 5K rotations for winter and summer sets on both cars. so wear difference is ever at 5K max, which is normal. and i've only ever bought tires...
yea i know its not that big of a deal, I'm sure when its time to put them back on ill figure which ones go where.
i just like knowing that tires get rotated perfectly even every time
i considered that as well, in the summer i do it rotations for both my car and hers sometimes.
but...since i park outside, so i have to use friends garage, which is not heated.
these were the...
got 2nd winter set out on thursday, loaded into g/f's Rabbit, and sent her out to Discount Tire to drop it off so they can switch out while she's at work.
she gets home from work, winter tires on...
went on this morning,
it was a zoo at Discount Tire, its that time of the year and with storm we just got in Denver, it would have been 4+ hr wait yesterday, so i went this morning before they...
every time i see V70XC drive by this image pops up in my head.
i remember seeing that built article somewhere, can anyone provide a link?
if VW doesn't bring GOLF ALLTRACK, lifted V70XC + some...
car purchased June 2010 Golf TDI
average 25,5xx miles/year
2014 $2,027 (year's not over yet)
i'd like to see it in person when it comes out. hopefully it looks more like lifted V60wagon and less like the current XC60 CUV
i love wagons / hatchbacks , but lately i've also been wanting a bit...
with my last job i did 60 miles/day/rt
i don't drive for work anymore, but i drive even more just for personal trips.
25,5xx miles / year average
'10 VW GOLF TDI
lifetime average 42.5mpg
can anyone tell me why they put 3.0T on the back (you'd think T stands for turbo?) even though it has a supercharger??
