I was thinking about making a CL ad and having my girlfriend or someone "find" the car. The got rid of "seller submission" and replaced it with the auction. I don't want to auction the car, I want to...
It's a ton for a Fox body, but I doubt you'll ever find another this clean(particularly an LX)
Back in 2007 one of my uncles picked up a 1990 Mustang LX Convertible 5-speed, 5.0. When I was young he had a 1990 Mustang LX fastback 5.0 5-speed, which he sold when he had kids. He adores Fox Body...
It was SO quick! The Formula 2 and Formula Atlantic cars were quicker, but this thing looked like a proper 1970s full bore prototype car running around the track. It was awesome to see on the move.
Yes, unfortunately a driver was killed during Race 2 after lunch on Saturday. He had a single car wreck coming down the hill onto the main straight in a '34 MG.
Started a pic thread. Anyone who attended is welcome to contribute pics....
What the heck, here are a few more:
Alright, looks like I am the first here with pictures from the 32nd running of Lime Rock Park's Historic racing event.
As usual the even was LOADED with amazing machinery, and incredible people....
Saab H-series always make nice noises.
The Volvo 5-cylinders do pretty well...
Um, let's see-
1998 Golf 2.0- 125, probably? Exhaust, intake, chip.
1989 Saab 900- 128 horsepower
1980 Honda CM400E- 28 horsepower(IIRC)
1960 Porsche 356B- 60 horsepower
341 Horsepower, yay!
Well, I have a green 356 so it was right up my alley!
'Twas. There a ton of talkative and informative owners who made it all worthwhile!
1. Porsche 356
2. Citroen 2cv
3. Saab 96 Montecarlo 850
4. Porsche 928 GTS
5. Maserati Biturbo
Yeah, I know. The 356 is the most reliable car on my list and that is fine.
You and I went to very different shows today. Some neat stuff at this event.
Mine? They look big in photos because of the long schnozz, but it's 5 inches shorter(length), 4 inches narrower and an inch shorter...
It was a great financial decision. The car being fun is just a big bonus. I could afford a better/nicer/newer car, but this car is doing just fine by me.
They're decent cars... The Volvo is better and has better parts availability however. I work for a vendor and have an easier time sourcing parts for my 900 than I do finding stuff for late model...
