I will try since I'm already downtown
Put a muffler on it
Turbo, Cat, & Res were not enough to keep the 16v quiet.
There isn't a factory crankcase breather on either 16v, only the block breather beside the oil filter housing.
Anyone up for tonight?
Sandor, if you've still got that gauge, I've got money for ye :)
If you're NA, the block breather should be enough.
If you're boosting you're going to want both at least.
If you're looking for a block breather, BFI sells an adapter for the oil block vent, or if you want to be fancier, BBM makes a billet piece.
You can run both the CC & Block breathers to a vented...
See if you have any air leaks, and that any silcone couples aren't compressing on themselves.
My friend had a long silicone coupler on his boosted car, and under hard throttle it...
Run a block breather if you aren't already.
For NA applications that may be enough, but if for whatever reason it isn't, grab the breather from a Beetle to run additionally.
06A103465 is the part...
May not make it, need to replace my turbo drain as it's showing some wear
VW can be pretty dumb sometimes and have a completely different (and incorrect) part number stamped on the things.
For whatever reason they could have superseded the number.
