I was just wondering. Daydreaming about towing a ~3000lb racecar on an open trailer.
How are these as tow vehicles? Was there a factory tow package?
the dimples and creases reduce drag, just like a golf ball. duh.
The optimal choice for the RS3 is the 245 on 17x9s. The sidewalls are relatively soft, so they like a tiny stretch. Also, these tires LOVE camber. 2.5-3.0 degrees is what they need.
As stated, they make money from advertising and hopefully end up in the black.
I love getting my magazines in the mail. After staring at screens for 8+ hours it's really nice to crack a beer, sit...

No direct experience, but I imagine they (a 180 treadwear tire) are like a Pilot Super Sport (a 300 treadwear tire) on steroids.
What kind of car are we talking about? Is the tire going to be...

Do you clean them at all or just throw them back in?
Seems like a good opportunity to threadjack...

I'm a Mech.E by degree (Go Huskies!) but work for a small consulting firm in Manhattan doing structural FEA...
WinGeo3 isn't pretty but it's cheap. You can use it to design your hard points, but it won't help you with designing the parts.
This. Does the car have crash/rollover damage? Check out the bottom of the car, look for a tube pointing at the ground.
I dig it.
would race.
