You get what you pay for. Exhaust manifold leaks are a royal pain in the ass too.

Can you make a New Beetle version? The same design would work, just you'd need to change the length of the poles a little.
I've seen MK4 fenders rust out because of mudflaps. Tiny rocks get between the mudflap and paint and it sands the paint off.
If you're storing a car, store it. Firing it up with dry bearings every month isn't helpful. Worst thing you can do.

In the first video you posted the car barely starts and sounds broken. Maybe I'm just too stupid to appreciate how awesome it is?
Does anybody have any input on cams and whether or not they will adversely affect the exhaust note?
I'd do without the extra power if cams are going to kill the sexy burble the engine has stock....
It's just gotten hot here and my 3.2 with its "mystery chip" had started pinging a bit under heavy load.
