Yep, the MK4 R32 pump.
Replace with the metal impeller version?
If you are ok with gray and light rain 33.3% of the time, the coast is pretty sweet!
You sticking in Seattle then? Good luck with the test drives - hope you find something and get the car curse lifted.
Looking forward to hearing about the SRS-Tec and seeing how it looks.
I am hoping that it is just the outer threads that may be galling. I do have a friend with a crank from his R32 that blew a piston, so if worse comes to worse...
^^^ Argh, hope it turns out OK.
My crank pulley bolt loosened up (for the 3rd time) and was sounding more and more like a diesel for the second or two coming off the brakes into light...
Oh that's right - thanks, Todd! They suggested seeing if it stays tight and buying the counterhold tool to check it periodically (assuming it does indeed stay). But if worse comes to worse, I will be...
Last time it went on, they swore that they torqued it, with the extra turn, and the bolt head did have a paint stripe to indicate the degrees of turn. The bolt has been out and back in 5 times since...

We need to know how you fit those calipers!
Apres ski. Not sure where the original large version is. Better aero than the A4, that's for sure!
1. I lost my front tow cover - now I guess I need a plate holder to mount there to cover that hole... If you find a good source for the rear cover, let me know because my boy lost his within two...
To do both sides:
4 small bolts N10579702
2 large bolts N91039802
It just arrived at the dealer today. Thanks - I won't make that mistake again!
Ordered another Fluidamper, just to rule out any wear issues with that part of the equation. Will post up what we find when the old one comes off.
The first time it was installed, they most likely just impact gunned it on, which is what caused the original problem. When I confronted them about the issue and had them repair it, they supposedly...
