A rivnut could work but in that shear application it would work its self loose eventually, locknut and bolt with a couple washers should do the trick

If you want valve float in the top end keep your worn out old springs, to do it right upgrade to the HD springs and keepers, they arent that much $$$ compared to the camshafts
If I were you I would remove the compressor/turbine assy and clock it on the bench in a vise, hammering it while still on the manifold and head could crack the manifold, bend some studs or stress...
More elitists are needed, at this rate my half built stock 81 sedan will be worth tens of thousands in a few years!
IMO a welded pipe when done properly will be way better than that plastic ish. Clean welds on some stainless tubing would look DOPE
