Mine came out like normal bolts. Pretty easy. You may want to hit it with PB or WD40 first.
The bolts are prob only a couple bucks anyway.

You can use a rubber mallet. We aren't saying swing at it like a baseball bat for a home run... just tap it, dead center.

Exactly! Sometimes, it feels like it's seated properly, but you will need to tap it in a bit more. And def make sure you clean it out good.

Never tried the screw driver on a newer car. You might need a thin screwdriver. or you can just do the ignition switch in less than 30 minutes and be done with it.
Ignition swith is fairly easy to do. They are cheap, just buy one.
