If you say your flasher unit/relay is fine, then it would be a faulty stalk.

Yes, door panel has to come off. It's the whole latch assembly.
Right, that's what I mean. The sensor is part of the door latch. Don't think they can be separated..
Probably needs a drivers door latch assembly.
Oil filler cap also relieves some of the pressure.. I would replace it, Im sure it's relatively cheap.

They either did a poor job resealing it, or didn't replace the cam tensioner gaskets and rear sealing caps.
Yes our cars only have left side rear fog light. Stock DV's are weak only if you tune your car, and if that's the case, I recommend good old 710's. They use them on the 225HP TT. Exhaust? Anything...
