Edit: clean the pipes and silicone with brake cleaner and spray em with a bit if hair spray and re-install normally,...

How i'd proceed:
Dump and check the oil,
Change the filter and pre-fill
Put fresh oil in it
Remove the spark plugs and inspect
While all plugs are out, put a small amount of ATF in the cyls...

Use the bolts that are correct for the block.
Then you've got nothing to worry about, I've got more in the transmission and shifter assembly on mine... and i did all of the work! :)

Nope, the manifolds are different.
I was running a K03S on my AWP with the Mk4 3" Downpipe, it fits the Corrado, Mk3 and Mk4's, I'm sure with a little work it'll fit Mk2.
Well that's because you're mixing two different setups, when that turbo is on the B5/B6 there is no mounts used on that part of the block.
If you're using the Jetta/Golf K03/K03S it will clear...
I'm using the ABA Brackets on my AWP ( 06A ), Also, the 06B is the LATE B6 1.8T... IRRC The castings are there for the mounts, but they may NOT be drilled/tapped.
One of two things, You've got an air leak or your MAF is bad.
Test for leaks, correct if needed.
